I’m on the last part of my DTV. I’m 70 and going for medical. I submitted my letter from my doctor in Thailand. They are asking for specifics on my care. The particulars seem intrusive. Has anyone else cone across this?
“Proof of confirmation to attend the activity or letter of appointment from hospital/medical center: The doctor's appointment letter should include details about the disease you are being treated for (What is the treatment for? How necessary is it to see a doctor for continuous treatment? appointment date ,time, and doctor's name”

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user is nearing the end of their DTV medical visa application and has submitted a doctor's letter from Thailand but feels the request for specific details about their medical treatment is intrusive. Other community members confirm that immigration authorities require such details to justify the necessity of the visa. Some suggest considering a retirement visa for easier processing, and emphasize the importance of providing comprehensive medical documentation to support the visa application.
I don't understand what the fact your husband is still working has to do with the retirement visa.
The only thing I can think of is the fact that retirement visa needs in country extension at a fixed month and when you are not in the country because of the job that might cause problems.
I believe others have posted on this, yes they want to know the details, to ensure you actually need to be in Thailand longer for the treatment. What embassy?
