I had no problem with Pattaya.

Indeed, they were decent and helpful enough to give me a two month period before collection of the extension.

Twice, funerals have necessitated my return to my home country (UK) during this month after applying for a year visa marriage extension, and there has been no problem whatsoever.

On one occasion, the lady at immigration (Jomtien) even assisted by extending the period to six weeks, instead of four.

Can you clarify a point relating to the ฿40,000 per month option?

I'm assuming this is worked by calendar months. E.g., one can import funds on 1st November and the next month on 31st December?

There's no need for 30-day intervals?

Thanks for your complete answer.

Perhaps others who have recently used this path at Jomtien might be able to provide information concerning the funds on passport collection (though on his first visa extension, he merely had the passport stamped and away).

Looked at monitor.com, as advised by a previous poster.

This company said that Azimo would be the cheapest platform.

For 1000GBP to THB, they quoted ฿44,603.

Wise ฿44,858.

Moral: stick to Wise!!

You might want to look at (depending on intended dates) going SGN HAN, then HAN DMK. About ฿ 2400, but much quicker than going to Sing.

You mean SGN. Scoot are excellent.

I put in two dates and was quoted ฿3400 and ฿3600 ($112-$115) or ฿7500 ($248) for a direct flight...
