I don't know. As a tourist I prefer using contactless transactions, just a "beep" and it's paid. Most businesses accept this throughout Australia and most of Europe

It already is. I use QR now for just about everything, and most businesses are happy to accept it.

Lots of street food places now take payment with QR code. I think it's great. The need to carry cash is dwindling.

You can only do 2x90 provided you enter Thailand before July 3.

. Sorry guys my bad. I read it wrongly..Although other than having no seven day grace period, my answer is basically the same. There's no set pattern and it seems to be a discretionary action by the immigration officer. I do know one guy who lived in the same condo building as me who was denied entry and returned to Phnom Penh, but he'd been here on the amnesty well over a year ago, and then successive covid extensions. Altogether he'd been in the country since covid started, so his time is done. He was told to get a proper visa or try again in six months

You probably won't know until you're there at immigration. There appears to be no set pattern, although they always do give seven days to leave the country, so you won't be kicked out immediately.
