Wayne Klapko. I've seen them in 7-11 queuing for their seven-day old cheese toasties and 20 baht coffee, really believing they are helping the local economy. Then complaining about spending 100baht for a beer in bar which they could have got at 7-11 for 40baht. Thailand is over-supplied with cheap foreigners who are now complaining about the 300baht tax on incoming passengers. I shake my head in amazement!
. Jack Sullivan. Lived in Chiang Mai. Used the agent to circumvent the 800k. Used an agent in Pattaya to get a stamp from Khon Kaen. Someone in immigration had a look at some cases. He got a knock on the door, asked to see his bank book. Game over. IDC. Overstay was calculated back to his previous extension date (which was also bogus but they didn't worry about that). 20k baht fine. Deportation. Five year ban!
Darren Jenkins. Bangkok Airways don't fly from Sydney. If Thai Airways can't do it, have a look at a direct flight from Sydney to Phuket. I think they have one a week
Darren Jenkins. That's correct. There's two Bangkok Airways flights daily to both Samui and Phuket which allow through bookings which means you can transit through Suvarnabhumi. You have to check with Thai Airways to see if they can facilitate this.
