That is what I was saying about Bangkok Bank in Osaka. I can open an account with them but no retail banking (ATM card, Internet), only for commercial purposes, between companies.

You just walked into a BangkokBank and opened an account? I have my ownership deed that I own the condo, none of 5 Thai banks would even talk about opening a bank account for me without a visa other than 60 days stay stamp in my passport.

No drama if I can (on 90 days visa) can open a bank account and deposit 800K THB into it.

Not an official, someone around here said their Thai visa agent said, now, the funds have to be in your bank account on the day you apply for the retirement visa. Not for 2 months. Is that true?
