My wife, a Thai national, flew into Bangkok yesterday (July 1 2025). She called her City Council, Samut Prakan, today, about my "Yellow Book". The lady from the Council (she remembered her and my daughter when they got their "Blue Book" and invited her to come with me on Friday July 4th, directly, no waiting time.
Confusing it is, the officer said, it may take 2 months to get that document. I thought it is a half day (if that), I am the owner of that condo.
Is there something wrong?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is confused about the processing time for the 'Yellow Book' in Samut Prakan, which was mentioned to take two months, while others have reported much faster processing times in different regions of Thailand. The responses indicate significant variability in processing times and requirements depending on the local amphur, with other users sharing their quicker experiences.
Wife and I actually did this yesterday. Took 30 minutes at the office to complete the process with two witnesses. Phone call this afternoon, go in tomorrow afternoon for ID photo and pick everything up...yellow book, kor ror 22 and card. Nakhon Phanom District Office.
Every amphur has different rules and regulations for yellow book and pink ID card. At some it's a simple process, at others it's very complicated and takes lots of paperwork, witnesses, and many months. Some will refuse to do it flat out. You have no recourse except follow the process of your amphur.
