ok, thanks for your reply. The reason I asked about sponsor letter on the e-visa portal, at least in the UK it says sponsor letter and I was wondering what they mean by this. Will have to clarify it with the London visa Dept. When you say one month bank statement, I presume showing earnings from your remote job, yes?
Why can you hire a car from some car hire people, who in my experience albeit twenty years ago didn't even ask to see my licence, just presumed because I was a Westerner I would have one.
You make it sound easy, but for one you need a company, bank account statements going back, I don't know how many months, plus a sponsor letter. Is this correct?
A Thai friend of mine pays about 25,000 a year for a Thai government insurance policy that covers anyone with a full driving licence to drive the vehicle. It also covers all medical and vehicle damage costs. You get what you pay for.
Depends which passport you hold. Also if your in the North East, near to Nong Khai, going to Malaysia is going to cost you more than $60 USD I presume.
My experience from 1998 to 2023, and tens of dozens of times both leaving and entering on visa exempt. I only once got Red stamped. Was still let in for thirty days, but then got a 12 month multiple entry 'O' non-immigrant, so as people say it all depends on the IO on the day. In those twenty five years I only ever got three two month tourist visas and the one 12 month visa. In fact I was leaving and re entering that much that in one period of ten years I had to renew my passport five times because of all the stamps both Thai and from other countries. My passports were all 48 page ones as well.
