 DTV visa the way to go. Lasts five years and multiple entries. Some caveats for getting it, but nothing unsurmountable.

 proof please. I'm not questioning the rule before the new DTV came into being. What I'd like to see is confirmation from immigration that the ninety day reporting also applies to this new visa, that's all
