Everything is based on age and preexisting problems. A majority of retirees are self insured due to this. Many insurance companies won't insure if you have many medical issues.

I don't need a Wise, never make transfers

I think Schwab charges $25 for wire transfers. I use my account for ATMs and paying bills online. I use my Holiday Inn for all credit charges overseas.
