Is it easier to go on a group tour to Vietnam or Laos for a border run instead of doing it by yourself?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around whether opting for a group tour to Vietnam or Laos is more convenient than a self-managed border run to extend a visa by 60 days. While participants agree that group tours may be easier, they express concerns about the loss of freedom, increased costs, and lack of genuine life experience associated with such tours. Some also highlight the importance of considering one's location and proximity to borders.

Easier yes ...for me ,better no .

You lose your freedom ,you quite obviously pay more ....( There is a commission on everything)

No life experience at all .

But easier ...sure

just border bounce with a local agency. They will guarantee your re-entry included in the price

best bet is to go with a visa company and do a border bounce. They handle everything and you don't worry. This year many people on flights back in have beened questioned at length so they are tightening up. A company I've used in the past charges ฿4000 for mainstream countries like UK USA NZ and Australia. I can pass those details to you if your in Bangkok.
