There is nothing required at the bank each year from immigration. Please tell us the document that is required. You are the only person I have ever heard claim this. I have never been asked by my banks for anything from immigration each year. Please point yo your sources and somebody told me is not a source.

Are you sure? Just yesterday you were claiming bank account holders need documents from immigration every year to keep accounts opening and functioning?

Anonymous participant 654 He can correct me if I am wrong but from his previous post it was authorisation to work remotely from Thailand. Immigration seems to want a recently dated copy not the one from 6 months ago when you applied for the visa

I am fine with bank accounts - can open when I want. I used to work for a large global company here. One branch had over 5000 salaries into it every month including C-Suite who were probably close to 1 million THB a month salary and quite a few directors on 300k +. They were very nice to us and gave us CC's etc :-)

Is there any difference between a savings and current account here? Even with a WP and high salary everyone only gets a "Savings" account. I am talking about Directors and C-Suite of global companies based here.

A lot of people are confused over this. As far as Chiang Mai goes my agent called her contacts at immigration to double check this for me the other day. I am doing in person next week. I travel in May and it will reset. After the 90 days I must do in person again.

The tax year is same as calendar year and it is 180+ days cumulatively in a tax year

@Calvin *****
Even if it is a 60 Day Single Entry Tourist Visa that would be cancelled too unless he got re-entry permit
