My advice would be to get either a:

Non O visa OR

Multiple Entry Visa

Links below.

60 day visa exempt. Then go to Immigration and extend for 30 days, 1900B.

Problem solved! 😃

Yeah, it’s ridiculous in my view but what can you do…?

I had a copy of the requirements from last year but I’m happy I went up there as soon as I arrived to get the current ones.

Good luck 😃

This post relates to the extension of your Non O.

The timeline also depends on which Office you will be going to. SAMUI has new rules now.

1. 6 weeks after (your 90 day) entry, you visit the office with your form filled out and all supporting documents EXCEPT the bank ones and your Medical Certificate. At that time, they book you in for an appointment to return closer to the date with the remaining documents.

2. You turn up at the appointment time with your documents. They will eventually get partially processed, you pay the fee, get a ticket number and you are asked to come back in a week’s time to collect your passport.

3. You go back in a week with your ticket and you get your passport back with your extension stamped.

Please note that this applies to SAMUI. I would check with your local Immigration Office as soon as you arrive.

I hope this helps. 😃

If you are over 50, you can apply for a Non O Visa in your home country. Very simple process.

Depending of course of your Nationality and country of residence.

This Visa is valid for 90 days. With this Visa, you should be able to open a bank account in Thailand 🇹🇭.

Deposit 800,000B into this bank account. The funds has to be there 2 months (and not a day less) before you apply for a 12 month extension.

Check with your local IO exactly what their requirements are (as they vary from office to office).

Once you’ve got your visa, you will know about reporting requirements etc…

If you are looking at this type of visa, you don’t need an agent.

And perhaps what type of visa you are after?

It can be very, very simple to do it yourself.
