TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about potential immigration issues upon their return to Thailand after two prior visits within a short period. They had a 10-day visit in March 2025 and a 90-day extension on a Tourist visa in May 2025, and are planning another trip for 55 days in September 2025. Community responses vary, suggesting that while some believe there may be complications due to the recent maxed-out stay and quick return, others think it's unlikely there will be any problems. Several commenters recommend obtaining a Multientry Tourist Visa (METV) or a Non-O visa if eligible, along with proper documentation like proof of accommodation, onward travel, and sufficient funds to mitigate potential issues with immigration officers.

No definitive answer. All depends on the immigration officer on duty at the time and what mood he or she is in. It’s impossible to predict.

If you're over 50 getting a 90 day Non-O visa before you travel will remove any issues you might otherwise have with immigration

The fact that you maxed out your last stay and are now returning relatively soon afterwards will be a red flag to many Immigration Officers. If you come in expecting a Visa Exempt entry stamp all you can do is have the 3 proofs :

- proof of accommodation for at least your first few nights (hotel booking or a letter of invite from a Thai)

- proof of onward travel (international travel ticket leaving Thailand within your initial entry stamp exit by date)

- proof of funds (20,000 Baht or equivalent in any major currency in CASH per individual, or 40,000 for a family)

Doubtful you'll have a problem. If by any chance the io starts grilling you just show them your departure flight

what do you actually mean by that? To get a ‘proper’ visa, all you have to do is to apply for one that will suit you with the correct documentation.

I got stopped for 30 minutes when I arrived in March, I had been here a lot though tbf. This time die 60 exempt..30 day extension and then went to laos and did the 90 day non o retirement. It expires on Sept 2 . Going back to uk on 27 Aug and intend to come back in March 26 on another non o. Hopefully will be bo problem as I have bank account and phone here now so intend to get the one year extension.
