 I haven't meant you invested by yourself. The company you work for invested under the BOI program and as such got special privileges for their foreign staff.

 you need a new work permit for the new employer then immigration will amend your visa accordingly. But you won't need to leave the country.

 Sometime it is for good. You'll have an official address in Thailand without bothering for a resident permit.

 Unlike in many countries, the yellow book and immigration are separate matters not linked to each other. Strangely, in Thailand we can be resident of a municipality without being resident in the country 😁

 A re-entry would be useless in your case then. They are made for people who don't want to lose their acquired status, like 1 year marriage, business or retirement extensions.
