I stayed in the airport until the next plane back. As I travel with wheelchair, I can sit and wait anywhere. The little café made good business by refilling my ice teas 😂
Same same in Bangkok in February. The officer said day trip to Laos is the easiest way. I said this sounds only half-legal and i want to do it correctly. He smiled and said everything fine as long as i bring all the documents i just showed to him. Especially proof of reason why i stay in Thailand. I had a doctors letter explaining my treatment and a list of upcoming appointments he agreed that 30 days of 500k is stupid when I showed him a 200k medical bill. He doesn’t make the rules and explained it well and I never felt like he’s looking down on me like I’m sn unwanted foreigner. I thanked him and booked a return flight to vientiane during my BTS ride back to my condo. I took air asia from DMK to VTE and Laos airlines to BKK in the evening the same day. Spent 4 hours in the only coffee I found at wattay airport. They have good pork sausage spring rolls 🤣
I make my appointments in the hospital application. In ny case bumrungrad, which also provided all the information needed for DTV. They also offer telemedicine. You could theoretically talk to a doctor from your country before you come to the hospital for the first time. For the survival of my kidney transplant I need regular tests which I have proof on paper including the next few appointment dates
This page of your passport ( picture from google images, not mine). I believe their system tries to recognize what’s written there. Check for any errors in the later steps like missing middle names or spelling. This can make you lose money and visa. I had this with a tourist visa for my mom years ago. Use good quality scans and not blurry photos 🙏
I did the same with laos. Morning out, evening back. The only question at suvarnabhumi was the purpose of stay and i was fully prepared to show proof of my soft power but he didn’t want to see. It was a bit more expensive than a bus, but I don’t like long bus trips
Anonymous participant I got it when i was 43 years old (last yr 555). As long as you have the money, you’re fine. But di yourself a favor and have your realistic budget ready. Depending on your circumstances, military retirement may not be enough as a private health insurance is highly recommended and not cheap 🙏
