I’m a stroke survivor myself and struggle with alll kinds of paperwork. I definitely pay a lot more than doing everything myself and in the past managed tourist visas myself but now that it came to a longer term visa i paid an agent for assistance with papers. It’s definitely easier on a real computer instead of an iPhone. Especially the document uploads

I wanted to extend in country but didn’t have the 500k for the required time as i had to pay a bill from Bumrungrad. I showed proof of that and he said that he really understood that’s unfortunate and recommended me to run and return. Bought a trip to Laos and back the same day. The officer in bkk only asked for the reason of stay. I said medical treatment which i haf proof but he didn’t want to see my docs letter with all upcoming appointments. Just stamp and good

I have multiple illnesses and my doc says I’m very lucky that i got an insurance. I need it all the time as my medicine is expensive and not available in all pharmacies/hospitals. Doc said he’s seeing that thai insurances moving towards USA before obamacare. I pay around 600€/ month, go to bumrungrad. I entered as a 40yrs old. Insurance broker from my home country, insurance is nowhealth international 🙏

Download the Bumrungrad app, register your account and schedule an appointment with a doctor that treats your medical condition. They are professional enough to not write you a letter if you just make a random appointment for a headache. I only used the service once after having side effects from prescription medicine the doctor gave me. I am in medical treatment in Bangkok since long before the DTV was announced

To quote my doctor from Bumrungrad: you’re very lucky that you have an insurance that covers pre existing conditions. Thai insurers exclude everything you have 😂 i got mine through a swiss agent. I pay a lot (600€/month) but my medical bills are quite high as some of my meds need to be bought at private hospitals. If you’re currently healthy, there are more affordable options. I am with nowhealth international

As far as i know, chuck from YouTube notime2bsad was in the same situation and talked in a video about it years ago. I don’t remember details because it’s not relevant for me but i believe he did everything in Bangkok

I have nowhealth international and so far a 100% of my claims were paid. Multiple pre existing conditions. They issued me a letter for covid coverage of 3.2 million euros back in the days where 2 weeks ASQ were mandatory. Btw i had stroke, kidney transplant and multiple other things before. Doc said never change this insurance as he is worried that thai companies getting even worse with covering my stuff. At least my illnesses got me a DTV 🙏

Bumrungrad Hospital for example let you search doctors for your illness and make i line appointments ( video chat) with them. You could do this and request the papers for dtv application. I knew my nephrologist already and went there in person before and have proof of needing regular kidney transplant checks. For blood tests I need to be there but medicine refills and other questions can be done by email or video consultation
