Anonymous participant I tried for four days to make them understand why I was a remote worker, which I definitely am, I provided every document I could think of, and that they asked for, they told me to write a letter explaining my business activities, because I own my own business,I wrote them two different letters, in the end they said you should change your category to soft power activities, only then was I approved
exactly, I applied under remote worker and was denied, not sure why though as I am a remote worker, then they allowed me to change categories to "soft power activities", I got a letter from my Thai dentist and was approved the next day, then my wife the day after that, very easy process
My application took two days once I got the right documents to the consulate in Vancouver, then I applied for my wife, and that took one day, something is definitely wrong with your application, you can always phone them, at least the Consulate Vancouver accepts phone calls, and actually answers the phone and talks to you without any difficulty at all, one time they even called me, they have been so easy to deal with
yes it took a little while because I applied under the wrong category, the consulate in Vancouver was wonderful, they even called me up and helped me and changed my category to soft power, applying online this way, easier than going to a consulate or embassy
I did my DTV visas for my wife and I online at the Thai Consulate in Vancouver, it was a very easy process, way easier than going in person and jumping through all those hoops, Making appointments and waiting, no thank you, applying online is easy and simple, there was an issue with my initial application and they called me, We got it straightened out and I sent them the documents electronically, I got my visa the next day, then I applied for my wife and her DTV was approved the next day
I paid $500 USD here in Canada, each for my wife and I, $1,000 USD total for both of us, the Thai consulate in Vancouver was easy to deal with, once I submitted the proper documents I got my visa the next day, I immediately applied for my wife and again got her visa the next day, all online, no in person to the consulate
