you are dead right there, my mistake. Its just that when i heard about it, i typed in DTV for thailand and you get some questions. What passport you have, where you will be applying from, when i put Ghana and London, it aid i could apply in London but only online. Later in the application it asked if the residence was different to where i was applying from, we said yes. At that point, the system should have said NO, it cant be done. Instead, it takes your money, then tells you no on the application.

Thats right, its for people who want to travel half way round the world to do a cookery course.

that's right although the embassy did offer an interview in 4 weeks time with the possibility of a short term visa being approved

It seems 9 African countries without Thai embassy have to go to Nigeria, we won't be going as is not safe there, will just not go to Thailand, will try Phillipines as is no issue going there.

it's obvious when looking at visa requirements that many countries visa exempt or e visa lists, do not include African countries. That is what looked so good for the DTV, I'm from UK, I got DTV in 4 days, my wife is now struggling to get a spouse DTV. Really do not want her to go to Nigeria to apply as its just not a safe place in our view, if that's the only option then we will pass on Thailand. Philippines, Singapore and Indonesia are visa free for Ghanians.

she doesn't for UK, its not dead in the water yet, the embassy acknowledges the issue, I'm not sure if this issue is specific to DTV or they allow an application for a single trip if only a visitor in uk

Thought that if you apply for a spouse (wife) DTV then you had to show evidence of your husbands accepted visa, obviously if you apply together then you can't do that. I have got mine, now applying for wife's

that is not what the DTV page says, it states 500k baht for spouse
