As most have pointed out they are eligible for Thai citizenship, but it can be a lengthy process, I am currently helping one of my staff who was born here and had a Thai ID card and passport, he was adopted and moved to Canada when he was 2, even with a lawyer and all the documents it is now pushing into a 3rd month and this is only to update his ID card and passport
Thailand is spelt with an “a” and there is no probation period to change as long as the visa has enough time valid to complete WP application process, usually 1-2 weeks
but it’s not valid and creates confusion, should I quote some invalid U.K. rules just to make it more confusing, best to stay on point for Thailand only
On a B visa yes you can change companies, on an extension of stay you can not change. I have seen Penang add company name in handwriting but recent visa for several of my staff from KL or Hong Kong had no such additions
Labour Dept can choose not to enforce the 4:1 ratio for certain business like Scuba Diving, however immigration still requires 4:1 for 1 year extension, so many are left with visa runs as the only option
