TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the issuance of Multiple Entry Non-B Visas at the Penang embassy for individuals who already possess a valid Work Permit. One user mentions successfully obtaining this visa in March, while another notes that having a valid Work Permit for at least eight months is a requirement for the application process in Penang. Additional comments suggest consulting an agent, who can assist in the application for a fee.

Having a WP that is still valid for at least another 8 months is actually a requirement in Penang. If you don't have it you need to take a document from the labour office which states you have requested a WP but i don't know the documents official name and number.

Another tip. Something the paper pushers won't usually tell you is that after your first WP (which is valid 1 year) you can extend per 2 year each time. This gives you much more slack when you're renewing non-B in Penang.

thanx for pointing that out

, (y) I'd forgot them require that or they only issue a 90 day single entry.

, your employer applies for a work permit at the Dept of Labor, you get the receipt of having applied and use that with the paperwork your company gives you to go out of the country and get the visa

,everyone must be extremely careful of one of the so called amazing agents in Penang, for any visa type other than a tv. In my case, with all correct supporting and verified paper work that he read,he told me I'd not qualify for a NON O,BUT for 1500 baht equivalent he would try. Next day I went to the Consulate and following day had my NON O !

Stop some time back. They seem to be mostly issuing tourist visas. Always been easier in Penang as you can use a agent and not have to go in person.
