did you actually even go this year? Sounds like someone is joining the bandwagon because they’ve watched a Thaigar episode…. This year there was no recognisable smog. I think you’re talking out of your ar5e.

This year, best year on record since records began. Having lived there through supposedly bad years too, it’s not actually that bad. Experienced worse in other Thai cities. Chiang Mai is a great place to live and you can always go to Ao nang or Phuket for what they call the Smokey season.

he did his in early May. Perhaps they temporarily stopped it, because they were dealing with a lot of Ukraine applications at the time.

when was that? I know fast track was an option before but, a friend of mine who is doing it now, said it was discontinued.

yes, you pay on departure and It’s 500 fine per day. I have overstayed 3 times by a couple of days, over the last 10 years. No issues on re-entry. That goes for me and many others I know.

waste of time. Easier to go to immigration centre and pay for an extension. Or even easier, take a 1 day overstay and pay 500 baht fine. And before any scaremongering, I’ve got 3 on my last passport, it’s a non issue.
