Buy a throw away ticket for $15 for onward travel. You’re going to have to do a border run. On day 29 extend 30 days and then on day 59, go to a border. Kind of daft you left it until 2 days before travel… could’ve saved yourself the effort. But no point on dwelling on it now lol. Just get the onward travel ticket to save yourself hassle at your home airport. I have been allowed on a flight with a later return, lots of times tbh. Flutter your eye lashes and say you’re traveling around se Asia and may get away with it. But easier to spend the $15
it’s a decent rate compared to the last couple of months. It’s on the top end. But saying that, no one has a crystal ball and knows what will happen in the future. Can only go on pasts comparisons.
Robert King firstly, I live between London and Chiang Mai. And yes, I think duel pricing would be fair. I know when I visit friends In the US, I see duel pricing; for example, in Florida, local residents pay less then I do to enter theme parks. Would you go calling Americans racist for that? You might call them racist for other reasons lol but, not for their duel pricing. Do you accept on average, Thais earn significantly less than you have? The answer is obviously yes, whether you admit it or not.
I never have any issues with duel pricing on public parks, for the reasons you mentioned. But when it comes to hotels, it’s not the right time to increase prices for tourists. Everyone is suffering from inflation and flight prices have shot up. Hotel prices will eventually go back to pre pandemic prices and that’s fine, Just not now.
no insurance requirements anymore. I’m 15 years of travel to Thailand, I have never been asked for proof of funds and neither have any friends. You don’t need proof of accommodation, you just need to write where you’re staying (at least your first night), on your landing card (tm6). Sounds like you had a pretty standard passing though thai immigration.
was the other condo in Pattaya? If yes then, yea just use that 😂 I’ve done that loads of times. As long as the TM30 you have is in the same area as your immigration, you can still use it.
