Has anyone flown with Thai Airways long haul recently? Did they sort out the entertainment issues yet? I ask this because they didn’t have any during covid due to unpaid bills. Can’t be doing a 12/13 hour journey with no entertainment! Also, they stopped serving alcohol during that time, have they started that up again? Need my traditional Bloody Mary’s after departure.

I did 4 weeks ago. Entertainment very limited, food awful but they did serve wine with the meal. No magazines or duty free magazines, I guess because they too think they spread Covid. Masked the whole flight which was over 14 hours because we left over two hours late at 3am due to the baggage belt broken. Don't expect the old normal. BKK LHR

no. It's wasn't needed. 14 hours of mask wearing was a pain though.

Thai follow the rules of the destination country unless it's not a direct flight and you have to transit. Then you have to check with the airline

only wine with dinner or also alcohol throughout? I’m not a massive drinker but, on a long flight I will always have a couple of bloody Mary’s after departure and then a small red with my meal. That usually knocks me out for a few hours.

I didn't ask for extra but they did pass the wine round a few times. I miss the after dinner brandy they used to hand out.

to be honest, I mainly used to fly the EVA direct flights, as I was usually flying out of Bangkok and I just loved the service from them. This time I’m heading out of Phuket and Thai are the only direct flight back to London.

Just download films, or TV shows to phone or ipad. No need for crappy in-flight entertainment these days as everyone has a mobile entertainment system in their pocket or bag.

3 long haul flights in the last 4 month.. the entanglement system was the same for the first 3 months… but entanglement has now been updated.. everything else fine as normal
