When doing the covid extension, you first get a 15 day under consideration stamp. Can go get your next stamp for the remaining 45 days at a different immigration centre or do you need to go back to the same place you got your initial stamp? TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
When you apply for a COVID extension in Thailand, you initially receive a 15-day 'under consideration' stamp. There is some confusion about whether you can obtain the subsequent 45-day stamp at a different immigration office or if you must return to the original office. Most comments suggest that you must go back to the same office where the initial stamp was issued. However, some immigration offices may issue a 60-day stamp without the under consideration period for an additional fee, as noted in places like Krabi.
that sucks… I just stamped in Chaing Mai but want to head to Phuket. I won’t have to pay more when stamped I’m Chaing Mai but, no doubt Phuket will want to make me pay again.
IF you already have the under consideration stamp in your passport you MUST go to the same immigration office again in two weeks. VERY unlikely that another office will give you a different extension.
