Hi,

Does anyone who made a DTV request on Paris Thai Ambassy still lock on "pending approval" statut? And yes for how long do you wait now and also do you have some information from Ambsassy about this situation?

Thx

Good morning from Bang Tao. I have a quick question, to which I think I know the answer, but would appreciate confirmation (or correction!)

Am I correct in thinking a UK citizen can reside in Thailand on a tourist visa for two slots of 3 months every year? So for example, January to March, and then July to September?

Thanks and have a great day.

What is the fastest time anyone has gotten their US passport back after renewing it recently? Have been told by embassy that the 5 to 6 week published time frame might be more like 7 to 8 weeks or even 9. Been asked many times by others as I am the CVL here in Tak and Embassy/ Consulate seems to hedge on the question. Anyone know more or less?

Strange experience yesterday.

Just make sure you have hard copies of relevant paperwork with you when entering Thailand.

Are medium to long stay foreigners wanted???

Once again obtained my 6 month multi entry tourist visa (9th year) from the UK by meeting all requirements.(£5000 in bank account for 6 months + hotel and return flight bookings)

Arrived BKK walked to priority gate and presented my passport with correct visa to officer.

At that point everything went rarther strange.

The officer took about 3 min looking at passport (it's a new UK passport) She then proceeded to give me the third degree.

Why you come Thailand for so long. (Holiday because the cold weather in England not good for my health)

How can you stay Thailand for 6 month ( I am retired, no need to return to England during bad weather)

Do I work Thailand (No).

Do I have Thai girlfriend.(No)

Do I have condo (No)

Where do you stay. (Named apart/hotel and offered to show hotel booking)

Why do you have new passport. (Old one expires offered to show old one)

This went on for about 10 min.

Eventually and reluctantly was given 60 day stamp.

All my friends who wanted 30 day exemption had no problems.🤔🤔🤔

British Passport..

Hi everyone,

So far I've gotten another 30 days at Cheng Wattana immigration extending the original 30 days I got when I arrived at Suvarnabhumi airport.

And last week did a border bounce at Pong Nam Ron into Cambodia and back.

My query is, can I now go back to Immigration and extend for another 30 days?

Thanks for any help.

question: Can I extend my 30 day on arrival stamp for a further 30 days at immigration in Bangkok. I've done the 30 day extension at immigration once before but that was 4 months ago and since then I've left the country 3 times by air. I am South African .. I landed in Bangkok on the 3rd of January without a visa.. all i have is the 30 day stamp.. also can I go to Immigration tomorrow morning to get an extension. I am here as a tourist. Thanks so much Everyone 😀
