I am from Italy and I have a 1 year Business Visa.
I'll visit Italy for a month, in September.
Someone water damaged my passport, part of my stamps and visa stamps are liquified.
This stamps are still being accepted in government offices inside Thailand, but maybe they won't be accepted when I'll start flying internationally, as they say water damaged passports are not valid.
I'm thinking to do a new passport when I'll go back to Italy, and I'll do a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand, but:
Once in italy, when I'll do my new passport, I think the visa and the re-enmtry permit will stay in the old passport, how can I re-enter Thailand?
There is something that i need to understand and i hope here i can get some help.
Premise:
I am Italian, which means visa exempt for up to 30 days. I arrived in Thailand on January 10th. If i have a chance, i'd spend 2-3 more weeks betw4 Chiang Mai, Pai and Chiang Rai before moving out of Thailand for good.
Question:
What are my (best, cheapest) options?
-visa extension at immigration office (can i already do it or do i have to wait until my permit is about to expire?)
- visa run to Myanmar or other country (can i already do it or do i need the extension first?)
