Hi everyone 🙏 THIS IS FOR EXPERTS:

I am from Italy and I have a 1 year Business Visa.

I'll visit Italy for a month, in September.

Someone water damaged my passport, part of my stamps and visa stamps are liquified.

This stamps are still being accepted in government offices inside Thailand, but maybe they won't be accepted when I'll start flying internationally, as they say water damaged passports are not valid.

I'm thinking to do a new passport when I'll go back to Italy, and I'll do a re-entry permit before leaving Thailand, but:

Once in italy, when I'll do my new passport, I think the visa and the re-enmtry permit will stay in the old passport, how can I re-enter Thailand?

THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH 🙏

What is going on?

This page is set up to help you and provide advice for Thai Visa or Extension of Stay. This according to the rules and regulations of Thai Immigration.

People join this page, ask a question and than I read in comments, excuses to follow the rules and regulations:

- Impossible for me to do

- I don't want this

- Immigration can not do this

- I hear somewhere else

- It is a pain

- Don't tell me the rules, just tell me now, how I get what I need.

Next to this, people loose their passports or papers stapled inside the passport, don't pay any attention for left space in their passport or the validity date.

We all like to travel over the world, visit countries, enjoy new cultures and different life styles, but what happens with our own responsibility to take care the most important document to do this. Yes, your passport and the needed Visa, or Visa Exempt to get in a country or stay longer in that country.

We all give advice out of our free will, spending our time and knowledge to help you. If this advice does not fit in your agenda, it is not our fault and discussion about the rules does not help as we have no influance on the rules makers of the Royal Thai Immigration Police Bureau.

I'm surprised. You travel around the world, you know you need a passport and a Visa for certain countries, you obviously know how to apply for the needed visa but you never check if you collect your passport, So I read now several people who did not know there is an extra stamp next to their visa, I read there are people who did not know the passport had no empty pages. I read people who forget entry stamps or got the wrong entry stamps and all come with the question What to do. Easiest thing is CHECK YOUR PASSPORT even before you decide to cross a border and check what the Immigration did with the passport, check the stamps and check the dates and free pages and TAKE CARE the only document that allows you to travel around the world.
