The qualification for a METV visa is ฿200,000 in an account six months prior to arrival, my question is, can it be a joint account?

Hello, my wife and I need to open a bank account and share it (no need for two accounts, LTR visa). Is it possible to open a joint account as a married couple (non-thai)? Or maybe to open an individual account and my wife as a proxy? What from your experience works best and which bank do you recommend for such account?

Can you submit bank statements from a joint account with your name on it or does it have to be your own separate account? Applying for DTV under soft power.

I'm aware that I must have 800,000 thb in a SINGLE name Thai account to qualify for a retirement visa, funds transferred from overseas. I've heard its also acceptable to have 1.6m thb in a JOINT name Thai account, funds transferred from overseas. Has anyone actually done this? Thanks

Back to the affidavit issue.. i’m US passport holder and I’ve been doing the 65k plus baht method for the last 4 years. It’s been going into mine and my wife’s “joint account”. Does that joint account count when I produce a statement and give to immigration.
