Hi, is it true that if you've entered on the 60-days visa exempt and then extended 30 more days you have to fly out at the end, and can't just cross the land border with Laos and cross back again for another 90 days? Many thanks!

Dear member,

I need your advice bacause I am really confused. I have a Korean passport which is a Visa exempted to Thailand.

I am currently staying in Laos and I have been to Thailand 3 times by crossing a land border named Chong Mak since April 9th. I attached the photos of my passport for your reference. I read many postings of 2 times limitation to enter Thailand per calendar year by land crossing. I thought I could cross to Thailand through land borders without any limitations. Please correct me if I am wrong. Cheers!

I am a resident in Chiang Mai and currently hold an O visa, which allows for a single entry. Will be taking a holiday in Lao, exiting Thailand by land near Nan, and returning at the same crossing. Which would be more convenient (time): applying for a SE stamp at Chiang Mai IMO before the trip, or when returning from Lao to the Thai border? Has anyone experienced this at land crossings? Thank you.

Hi all thanks for the add. A border question. If Iโ€™m arriving and departing Thailand by land, via Malaysia, do I still need proof of planned departure? Would a bus or train ticket do?! And I presume visa requirements are the same at a land border as at an airport?

TIA

Hello, I am new here and I would like to ask you, I am from Slovakia, so we have a free visa for 30 days, I will be in Thailand like "tour escort with local guide" and we will cross land borders maybe twice a month, for example Cambodia, can I do this every month? Is there no problem to get a visa again and again? Thank you very much for answer ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿฟ

Iam now nearing the end of my extensiom after land border crossing, having previously been on TR60 with extension. I am wondering if i can do another border bounce to extend my stay? Or any other alternatives? Would it still be another 30 days with british passport?

Thanks

Iโ€™ve been told itโ€™s okay but just want to be sure. There is a limit of two land border crossings allowed in one year. Iโ€™ve made two, but Immigration in Korat said I will need to get a 60 day tourist or 90 day O in Laos and come back. Will it be okay to cross by land with the new VISA?

I was hoping to drive to Savvanakhet.

For clarification, Iโ€™ll be completing the paperwork for a legal marriage, and pursuing a retirement or marriage VISA once I return. It has just taken forever to get the correct forms I need from the American government.

Hi Team,

Just a quick question.

We are in Malaysia now and we are planning to arrive in Thailand via train around 1st April 2024. But on the Smart Traveler (Australian Government URL ) web page [members only] it is saying that land border crossings only allow 15 days? but I checked the Thai Embassy page and they say 30 days [members only]

Can anyone please confirm there is no issue getting a 30 days Visa Exemption for Australians if entering by train?

See attached image.

Cheers,

Sean

Could anyone advise me? I have 1 land border run I can use this year. I have been here since November. I came on a tourist visa and have extended that to get 90 days. Plus, I used an agency to go to Cambodia and back by land to get 30 days, which I have extended again. My question is: I plan to go to the Philippines once this finishes on March 23rd for 1 month, and I plan to come back again via a land border around April 23rd. I know Don Mueang airport wonโ€™t be the best option. What country and border is best to come back through into Thailand. I plan to get a 6-month education visa once I arrive. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
