I’ve just had my Non-ED Plus E-Visa approved by the Thai Embassy in Vientiane, Laos.

Update: I didn’t use the Nong Khai land border in the end. I contacted the border checkpoint officer via LINE beforehand and was told the Non-ED Plus E-Visa could be used to enter Thailand. However, I decided to fly into Suvarnabhumi instead.

Even at the airport, immigration still took me to the secondary inspection room for a long interview with many questions about my studies, visa history, and stay in Thailand. After that, they kept my passport and made me wait over 3 hours while checking everything.

Yeah, i wanna know too about this nongkhai land border crossing. I've been hearing some 'whispers' that any foreigners returning/entering Thailand through the friendship bridge, will undoubtly getting extensively questioned by Thai IOs and/or might have risked getting rejected to enter Thailand, REGARDLESS whatever type of visa(s) or exemption he/she possess.
