Hello.

I just want to ask if these are still the requirements for extending a 60-day tourist visa?

According to the Thai immigration website, I don't need a TM30 or copy of my arrival stamp? Is that right?

Has anyone done this recently and can confirm?

Also, is it at Changwattana or Laksi immigration?

Many thanks.

Has anyone made an online appointment to renew a 60 day tourist visa at Laksi? I checked on the appointment website and e-visas aren’t on the list. Is that still ok?

Hi, I have some questions on how to do an extension for my visa exemption stamp received on 16th June and expiring on Saturday 15th July. Being my first one, I'm unsure about some details apart from the location being Laksi and I'd be grateful for any help.

As far as I understand the visa extension is given from the date you apply for it rather than when the original date expires? Can anyone confirm this is true? If so, how many days before do you recommend going? I was thinking two days so I wouldn't lose too many days?

I do have a TM30 from the place I'm currently renting, even though they have not filled in my whole name (I guess I'll have to ask them to redo it, if the immigration app allows that?). Does Immigration want to see a contract too?

Sorry for the many questions, I'm also looking at getting an "Education Visa" to actually learn Thai properly, so hopefully this might be the only visa extension I'll do (I only did STV previously).

Thanks! 😊

Hi folks, FYI, I recently used a Single Entry 60-day Tourist visa (received at Thai Embassy in Hanoi) and just applied for a 30-day extension. The information I found online was not clear so I want to let people know that this extension is done at Immigration 1 Chaengwatanna , NOT at the Laksi location. It was quick and simple and they did not ask for a TM30 this time.

Hello all, need some advice please. Im in the process of getting married in Bangkok. Paperwork has takes a while.

I'm on a British passort, currently on a 30 day tourist stamp.

New passport in December, since then: I've had 1 border bounce to Poi Pet + 30 day extension at CW, and then 2 flights out and back in- no extensions.

I need to leave/ extend again on the 16th of June.

What are my options? I think i only need another 30 days to get my paperwork all lined up for the marriage visa, we have most of it already done, just need to get a date from the local office in Bangkok.

I'm concerned i may be refused entry if i fly out again, Im thinking going to CW and getting an extension? But not sure if they will be sympathetic to my situation...SOS.

Thanks in advance for any valuable insight.

Hi All,

Just to update for those looking to do the 30 day extension in Bangkok. I was at Laksi this morning, and several people including myself were being asked for the TM30 In one case they actually called the property owner the person put on the form.

I stay in my own house and they also asked for a copy of the proof of ownership, so whilst they may not have asked some people, I would recommend anyone going to Bangkok, have the TM30 vopy prepared, as without it you if asked they will turn you away, as they were doing this morning.
