Hello Group Members,

Last time I visited Thailand, I got insurance from TuneProtect as it was required due to Covid. I know currently it's not mandatory but I think everyone should have insurance for traveling. Nothing bad happened for my trip last time and I didn't have to use it at all.

I am travelling again this Friday (2 months TR visa) and would like to know which insurance should I get. Along with Covid, I am really interested to find something that covers Motorbike Travel (i.e. any unforeseen travel accident). Can you recommend something ?? How is your experience in case you are riding the bike yourself. (Have proper license i.e. My country license and IDP). I have seen mixed reviews of complains when they try to pin things on you if you get into an motorbike accident. (Mainly regarding License)

Also, is there any insurance company that covers Thailand and Combodia. (Going to Combodia for 2 weeks after my Thailand trip). It be nice if one company does both countries but if I have to get different insurance for Combida, I am fine with that as well.

Thanks

Hey guys - very confused over here. I am trying to purchase the $75 option from luma but when I select it the price jumps to $110. Anyone know what’s going on? Just trying to get normal health insurance in case of serious accident, and whatever is needed for the Thai pass.

Just got a 60 day tourist visa and coming on 8 May to explore. Like many on here, baulked at applying for the retirement O-A visa because the Thai insurance I got quoted seemed dodgy. But I’m not against insurance and for the next 90 days, my Australian insurer sold me this reasonably priced policy (when the Thai embassy was only pushing Thai insurers) needed for my tourist visa. Question: Would an extension of this policy to annual be good for applying for the O-A retirement visa when I come back to Australia later this year?

Have any of you used FWD insurance for your Thailand pass?

It is linked directly on the Thai pass website, but still somehow seems too good to be true. AXA is 1000 baht for a week while FWD is only 650 for 30 days.

Also wondering if anyone has used worldtrips lately, since that plan would be only slightly more and would actually cover us for other things.

Hi , I would need advice regarding minimum health insurance in order to apply for Thai Pass. Asking for friend who lives in Phuket. Already in posses of retirement visa (O-A). Valid till 16/03/2022. Currently in home country. Return ticket has been bought :from 05/05/2022 till 07/04/2023 . Is it mandatory to get insurance which covers whole period till April 7th,2023? Or it should cover period of visa duration? I got quotation from major insurance companies ,but all of them still have quotations for minimum 20-50.000 USD . Please advise. Thank you all in advance

Entry Insurance deductible question:

I haven't left Thailand in years, but want to take a trip out and then back in, so I'll have to deal with this Thailand Pass nonsense.

I have a proper Thai health insurance policy (not a short term travel policy) through Luma, that's like 30M baht coverage and does include covid coverage in writing.

HOWEVER, I have a 320,000 baht deductible, because I only keep the policy only for large emergencies.

I can't get an answer from the Thai emails I've reached out to as to whether this policy is acceptable due to the high deductible, and of course I don't want to find out a week from my flight back into Thailand.

Does anyone know if the deductible matters? Or, does anyone know would be better to ask?

Thank you!

Hello, for the thai pass insurance: does the policy actually needs to show the words covid or the amount of 50.000? I have a very comprehensive insurance but it does not explicitly show those.Thank you
