Can my friend correct a wrongly issued 30-day stamp on a 6-month tourist visa in Thailand?

My indian friend came to Thailand from suvarnbhumi Airport on a 6 months multiple entry tourist visa. This time instead of 60 days, he got stamp just for 30 days. He forgot to check the stamp at immigration counter. Is there any possibility of correction because as per his visa he is allowed to stay for 60 days. TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster's friend received a 30-day stamp instead of the expected 60 days upon entry into Thailand with a 6-month multiple-entry tourist visa. It is suggested that the friend should visit a local immigration office to seek correction of the stamp. If they are located in Bangkok, the Laksi Plaza immigration office is recommended, although it operates only on weekdays. Alternatively, they could return to Suvarnabhumi Airport, which is open 24/7, for potential correction. Other comments mentioned personal experiences, emphasizing the likelihood of correction without significant issues.

This post is not going to collect "what happened to me with the wrong stamp" cases.

I think OP already know what her friend has to do.

Thank you, everyone.

Last time I arrived they had to correct the stamp twice so I now have 3 arrival stamps for the one arrival 😂

Oh same thing happened to me! I didn’t notice it until I was flying out for a little trip. Customs guy just fixed the date and signed and let me through with no issue or drama

Better to quickly go back to the airport, it’s available

But in Laksi, only weekdays.

Usually, this group doesn't allow "for a friend" posts as posters cannot provide necessary and precise information in most cases. This was approved as it has the correct information in the photos.

If you or your friend have further questions, let your friend post by himself.

You can try to go to the local immigration office to see if they can correct the stamp. As he entered by air, the correction at the immigration office is supposed to be possible.

If in Bangkok, go to the IT Square Laksi Plaza office.

The worst case is they say no. Then he has to go to Suvarnabhumi airport (where he was stamped in) to get it corrected.
