Can we still arrive and have 30 day visa exempt and then go to immigration office and pay for another 30 days?
I was thinking they would have done this by now!. I went and did a tourist visa application just in case! But as l arrive on Friday it was a wasted time, money and effort! But that's the gamble. If l hadn't of done it and the change brought forward.
It wasn't that easy either for those that say it can be done in 10 mins! You need official booked accommodation for the time you'll be in Thailand, ID of the accommodation owner which seems ridiculous! Flight booking out, bank account that you use for every day ( not money in an interest account) with at least £700 or equivalent in your country currency! Plus a utility bill or something to prove where you are which seems strange. This last requirement means l probably can't do it from Philippines or Cambodia where l go between my 2 Thailand trips.
