Just curious if anyone has real experience with this.
I’ve seen some posts claiming that if you arrive in Thailand with a business class ticket, immigration is much more relaxed and it basically guarantees entry without questions, even if you’ve stayed in Thailand a lot before.
Has anyone here actually tested this? Is it true or just a myth?
I am entering bkk with my thai girlfriend on fresh dtv visa. Can I use thai immigration lane with my gf? I have done that before on Tourist visa. It's my first time entering with dtv.
Arrived in Bangkok on November 29 for my second entry under the DTV Digital Nomad visa. I came in from Madrid after spending 90 days traveling through Europe and Latin America.
Entry was completely smooth—about 1 minute at immigration, no questions at all. Got the full 6-month stamp again. Sharing the update in case it helps others.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my entrance to Thailand as I would read this group and I am a big worrier 🤣
Straight through at Bangkok, no questions. I handed my passport, A5 laminated DTV, my boarding pass and had my TDAC on my phone ready to show. We are from England and Mexico
From first hand experience only please, not speculation- When entering on a workation DTV, Is the entry smoother and less hassle-free, less chance of difficulty for first entry on DTV to enter through BKK, and then travel on to CNX? I'm getting mixed signals from various posts here. I feel I'm in 100% compliance, and the extra leg through BKK adds travel costs and is basically a nuisance. If the odds of not being f'd with are the same, I'd rather just enter at CNX.
3rd time entering this year on the dtv visa (I left Thailand about 3 weeks ago to go back to Europe)
Transferred through Bangkok svb (final destination Chiang Mai)
I had my current bank statements etc ready (as I’ve seen some posts in here recently that immigration officers were ‘grilling’ everyone on a dtv)
Immigration officer looked at my dtv, didn’t ask for DTAC (I’m assuming when they scan the visa qr code or visa number that it shows up on their system)
No questions asked, no words even exchanged, stamped for the correct time - easy.
