Planning to go to Thailand in December, but only will stay for less than 2 months, which I can use my free visa upon entry of 60 days. From February next year, planning to stay a longer time . Should I wait for February next year to apply Dtv? If I apply now, I feel like some months are wasted. Since I'm thinking of HCM or Hanoi, it is already in the evisa now

On the evisa system to apply for the Dtv, I saw there is a section for including the flight details and date for the length of stay, what are the dates I should include there? I'm using the digital nomad/remote worker option.

So I found out why my application was cancelled automatically by the system.

I inputed all my info correctly, the last thing I did was upload my passport photo and it did its scan and auto filled.

Well I made a mistake by not seeing or miss clicked or something. My application passport expiry was inputed wrong by 1 month.

I am waiting to contact them via phone call. But has anyone else have this experience?

🙏❤️

Applied for DTV on Friday morning at London via evisa system. Request came for 3 extra documents friday afternoon. 1.letter as to who i was and why i wanted a DTV, 2. Copy of flights inbound to thailand. 3. Copy of SA tax return. Visa approved late monday around midnight. Im a freelance offshore worker, I provided 2 contracts from this year and my 500k had been in my thai bank for 3 weeks. I dont think it could have been any easier to get this visa.

ATTENTION ALL MEMBERS;

**EDIT; (Oct 8th)

All three countries (Cambodia, Malaysia & Vietnam) are all online on the eVisa system.. !!

**

The following Thai consulates in S/E Asia will go to online eVisa applications ONLY starting the 8th of Oct.

They will discontinue any walk up/in person visa applications at that time.

Actually some of them stopped accepting in person applications already and have consular services closed until they open on the eVisa system on Tuesday

Vietnam - Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City

Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Kota Bharu

Cambodia - Phnom Penh

The follow consulates are still walk up consulates (they will not be changing to eVisa at this time) BUT you need to book an appt online to get in the gate

Lao - Vientiane, Savannakhet

Burma - Yangon

The following consulates are walk up consulates no appt needed

Indonesia - Jakarta

Taiwan - Taipei

Philippines - Manila

Update on my husband's married DTV with the Thai Consulate of Los Angeles: Came back today to tell him to reapply to the visa after he had mistakenly "forgot" to put a hyphen in his last name. Note: The message did not tell him that he's denied a visa.

Applied: Sept 12, 2024

Reapplied: Sept 28, 2024

At the end of the reapplication, was expected to pay another $400 (.... really?)

Remember everyone who happens to have hyphens in their names or some middle name. INCLUDE THEM! Save the $400 mistake that my husband made.

I received an email from the Jakarta Thai Embassy that due to unforeseen technical issues the launch of the Evisa system has been delayed. They cannot confirm when the launch date will take place at the moment and to check updates from their facebook page/website.

Changes to Thai Consulates in Cambodia and Malaysia

The thai consulate in Phnom Penh and the THREE thai consulates in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang & Kota Bharu) will go to eVisa online system effect in Oct.

There is no announcement date yet, but they did put out these notices

Be advised.. If you're going to those consulates to apply for visas do it BEFORE they switch over to the eVisa online application system
