I am looking for advice regarding a family emergency and medical appointment. I currently have an education visa until June 2025, but I have been in a waitlist for a heart procedure in my home country Canada. I just got an appointment to do all necessary testing needed for my procedure September 17, but I just received a call informing me that my cousin is on life support but will being taken off of life support 💔😭. Can anyone please tell me how long I can leave Thailand for with a re-entry permit!?? I do not want to lose my education visa but need to be with my family and attend my appointment.
If I apply for a tourist visa, can I fly back to my country and re enter Thailand without the tourist visa expiring? I read that I need a re-entry permit for this.
If there is a family emergency I would have to fly back and forth. But it would be a shame to lose the tourist visa. Can you get the re-entry permit on short term?
I just need some advice… I have a family emergency back in SA and I need to leave either tonight or as soon as possible. I am on an ED-Visa and my husband is dependant on that visa as well he has a Non-O..
However, we went to immigration last week to get it extended and it was put “under consideration” and have to return the 2nd of August for the extension…
If I leave tonight will I be able to come back on the ed-visa or enter as a tourist? Also, he will not be going with me to SA so when he goes to immigration wil he be able to get an extension on the ed-visa knowing that I am not here?
I just came in on a volunteer o visa and got stamped for 3 months. I was hoping to extend for a year. I have now had a death in the family and may need to go to UK for the funeral for a couple of days. Can I use a re-entry permit and then get back in on the same visa or will I need to get a new visa. My o visa has been crossed out and marked "used" but we did this previously on o visas so I'm confused.
