Hello. I’m scheduled for a non-immigrant visa appointment at Savannahket, Laos Thai consulate general this Monday, August 5th.

However, I’m late to the game and just learned about the DTV visa and I’m a good fit as a digital nomad/workcation. I have everything I need but I’m currently in Thailand and I know I must be out of the country to apply.

Do I need to return to the United States and apply for the DTV visa or can I simply go into Laos and apply for the DTV at the Savannahket Thai consulate general during my appointment

Thank you in advance for any advice or information. 

Has anyone obtained a multi entry o visa due to marriage to a Thai National at the Thai Consulate in Savannaket recently that can give a list of documents required ?

Is it currently possible to get a 1 year multiple entry non-o visa based on marriage, from Savannakhet, HCMC or any other thai consulate?

Just got back to the hotel with my beautiful new Non O Multi Entry visa from Savannakhet Thai consulate Laos. Thanks to Tod and all that helped with the great advice. Was going to get from London but last week was horrified to hear they had stopped issuing them. A wasted trip to Cambodia and back on a 30 day stamp to tie me over until the UK, but its water under the bridge now. So flying back to Bangkok tomorrow a very happy man. Thanks again.

Just got back from trip to Savannakhet Thai Consulate for new multi entry non imm. o visa.

Arrived Mukdahan Bridge Sunday, parked car for 2 nights on left just at bridge, got wife's 3 day pass in office next door, proceeded to Thai exit immigration (straight through - no issues - no waiting) boarded bus across to Lao Immigration, got entry form and their Landing Card - complete and hand back with photo and 35 pristine dollars - easy couple of minutes and through. Negotiated price with aircon. minibus for all journeys we would be making - dropped at hotel.

Picked up next morning (Monday) taken to consulate got there just after 08:00 a few people already there, doors opened at 09:00 probably 20+ people behind me by then - single queue to one window - 10 minutes later handed over completed application form, passport and copies of my passport photo/details page & Lao entry stamp page (hotel did for me), wife's ID (signed by her), blue book (signed by her), yellow book, certified UK marriage certificate with also copy of the certified translated copy I had done in Hull consulate and copies of the 2 certified copies of pages from Nong Khai Amphur marriage registration book - guy behind desk asked to see only original marriage certificate and for the 5,000 baht fee - 2 minutes and out with ticket to collect passport next day. Back to hotel (minicab waited for me!)

Next day (Tuesday) back to consulate for 13:30 - about 15 people in front of me - doors opened 14:00 - 14:15 I am in minibus with visa on way to bridge. Lao exit immigration straight through no queues over bridge on bus, got and completed Thai landing card. Took a while in queue as they were quizzing tourist visa holders but when I got to window he smiled said hello and I was through in a minute. Be warned Savannakhet is boring, it is definitely no Vientiane.

Looked on the forms section and cannot see a Mukdahan Bridge/Laos visa entry form or a Savannakhet Thai Consulate Non O visa form, if available I could pre-complete to speed things up when i go
