Can I apply for a DTV visa at the Thai consulate in Savannakhet while I am in Thailand?

Hello. I’m scheduled for a non-immigrant visa appointment at Savannahket, Laos Thai consulate general this Monday, August 5th.

However, I’m late to the game and just learned about the DTV visa and I’m a good fit as a digital nomad/workcation. I have everything I need but I’m currently in Thailand and I know I must be out of the country to apply.

Do I need to return to the United States and apply for the DTV visa or can I simply go into Laos and apply for the DTV at the Savannahket Thai consulate general during my appointment

Thank you in advance for any advice or information.

You can literally just type "Thailand DTV visa" into google and get all your answers. Or search for DTV in this facebook group and find out as well.
