I've just been informed that London will no issue anymore 12 month multiple entry Non B visas.
I have had a work permit for 3 years and my second 12 month Non B visa expires in December.
My main profession is a Merchant Navy Officer. I work 6 weeks away and have 6 weeks in Thailand where I am a scuba diving instructor, at the highest level, training other instructors. I do this part time during my leave periods.
It would be very difficult and expensive for me to obtain a new single entry Non B visa for every leave period.
Is it just London who won't issue a 12 month ME visa or is it a worldwide thing now?
Anything anyone can suggest for my specific circumstances?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring whether the recent news about London discontinuing the issuance of 12-month multiple entry Non-B visas applies globally or if it's specific to London. They express concern about the difficulty and expense of obtaining single entry Non-B visas for each leave period, since they work as a Merchant Navy Officer and also part-time as a scuba diving instructor in Thailand.
