No word on dtv going away or anything? Applying in Dec. and hoping all is the same.

My work permit expires in a few days. I'm planning to leave thailand, go back home and apply for DTV. Do I have to go through the process of cancelling my work permit before I can apply for DTV?

Im in Thailand for another month and a bit, still on a tourist visa exemption, planning to leave Nov 1st to a neighbouring country and apply for my DTV which Im quite confident I will be approved for.

My first question: I heard Cambodia is changing in october from in person applications to Evisa only, and apparently I have to be back in my home country to do the Evisa application. Anyone able to confirm this? Got a source?

Second question: anyone know any neighbouring countries that most likely will remain doing in person DTV applications? I heard Laos should be fine so I will probably go there, but I would like to know if theres others that I can use as a backup plan.

does any one show the proof of bangkok bank statement?

does it require to show whole month account statement?

Has anyone tried using an official balance letter from your bank as a replacement for an official statement?

I'm traveling to Taipei on Monday to apply, but found out today that my official monthly statement (for September) might not arrive until the end of next week.

Does anybody have a suggestion for a background check from the USA?

It doesn't have to be all that serious nor does it have to be notarized.

The last time I had to do this, went to the local courthouse and they printed out a document that said I had no pending cases... That's all I need now.

I see there are several websites that offer the services. They are happy to take my credit card and do not mention a price... Hence, probably not a good idea.
