Recommendations please,

Bit of a long post, but please bear with me,

Our original plan as I don't earn an income, I'm a suppted wife, was for me to apply for a five year elite visa and my husband will work FIFO and get a multiple entry tourist visa, so we can spend most of our time in Thailand, I would mostly stay in Thailand and hubby would fly in too on his rostered weeks off instead of flying back to Perth, now this new DTV visa is in effect, I'm wondering would he would be better off applying for that and me added as a supported spouse (we are legally married, married in Phuket legally), I've attached a picture of the clause I'm referring to, but bit unsure of how that bit works, I'm hoping we can do it this way as it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the elite visa,

Thanks in advance for any advice

Question 1: I have currently have an non-O visa (retirement), Australian passport. My wife also with an Australian passport who piggy-backed my non-OA visa when we arrived in Thailand 6 years ago.

My wife needed to leave Thailand 2.5 years ago and had now has returned to Thailand with a 45 day visa exempt stamp.

What are our best options to have my wife piggy-back my current visa as before? I assume we both need to leave Thailand and re enter together. Thinking of Veitnam if this is the case? She is under the age of 50 years.

What do we need for this to happen?

Question 2: Can my wife still piggy-back my visa if she's is 50 years or older?

Thank you in anticipation.
