What steps should I take to bring my spouse to Thailand after getting a retirement visa?

I was previously on a retirement visa but I returned back to the UK to address personal issues and failed to renew, albeit my Thai bank account remains currently active.

I appreciate I would need to redo my retirement visa again but additionally, I am also due to get married in the UK very soon and wondered if anyone has experience on bringing their spouse as a dependant (as she is slightly below retirement age)

What would be the best logical steps? Would I first need to get my retirement visa and then for my spouse to later apply for a dependant visa and meet me in Thailand at a later time or can we both enter Thailand at the same time.

Any advice would be appreciated 🙏
Answer summary
The user previously held a retirement visa but let it lapse while returning to the UK for personal reasons. They are getting married soon and are looking for guidance on how to bring their spouse to Thailand—whether they need to secure their retirement visa first and if their spouse can apply for a dependant visa afterwards, or if they can enter Thailand together. Comments suggest that obtaining a Non-OA visa could facilitate the process for the spouse, but confirmation with the relevant authorities is advised.

You may need to switch to a Non-OA to enable your wife to get a Non-O as a dependent, check with RTE London

If you get a Non-OA visa in the UK there's a good chance your wife can be your dependant but not on a Non-O visa. I don't think the UK embassy will issue a dependant visa to your wife if you are on a Non-O until you are on a 12 month extension of stay
