TLDR : Answer Summary
The time for DTV approval can vary depending on the embassy where you apply. It's crucial not to purchase flight tickets until your visa is officially granted. Some community members suggest that using an agent has resulted in denials, while others advise self-application. Always check the embassy's website for specific guidelines and ensure you are not leaving the jurisdiction until your visa is approved.

It all depens on which Embassy you applied at.

You may not leave the jurisdiction of that Embassy until visa i granted.

NEVER buy tickets until approved.

the only option for you is to sign up for a soft power course that meets the requirements. In my view that needs to be a minimum of 6 months but preferably longer

You need to be in a remote position that allows you to be in Thailand working online. Sounds like the best option is Softpower via a course such as MuayThai or cooking or medical treatment

Depends where you apply
