I have a Nepali client traveling with an original itinerary of Thailand (3 nights), Singapore (2 nights), and Malaysia (3 nights). Singapore is visa on arrival for Nepali passport holders, while Thailand and Malaysia require pre-applied visas. All tickets were issued for visa purposes; however, the Thailand visa was rejected on 23 December and marked under a “watch list,” meaning re-application is not possible for at least one month, while the Malaysia visa is already received. The issued tickets are Nepal–Thailand and Thailand–Singapore with AirAsia, Singapore–Malaysia by coach, and Malaysia–Nepal with Batik Air. Since Nepal–Singapore airfare is currently very expensive, we are considering using the existing Nepal–Thailand ticket only for transit and changing the Thailand–Singapore flight to the same day, keeping the passenger airside without clearing Thai immigration and traveling with hand carry only (no checked baggage). Another option is to purchase a new Thailand–Singapore ticket while retaining or rescheduling the remaining sectors to reduce cost. I would appreciate guidance from fellow agents and operators on whether a Nepali passport holder can transit through Thailand without a Thailand visa under these conditions (same-day transit, airside only, no baggage, no immigration clearance, different PNR ticket) and whether airlines allow boarding in such cases?
Does anyone on this site know how it would be possible for a Costa Rican passport holder to transit through Thailand on their way to Laos. I believe they need have a transit visa to transfer from DMK to BKK. Unfortunately it seems the Thai embassy in San Jose is no longer issuing visas, and there seems to be no way to do e-visa......
Long transit in Bangkok. I will arrive in 2 weeks in Bangkok from Delhi. In Bangkok I have a transfer time of around 20 hours before my flight leaves for Istanbul - Amsterdam. Also I have to pick up my cabin suitcase so I have to go through immigration. What is required? Visa, what kind? Do I have to do the Covid test by arrival? I can't find any info on the internet abt this. Tha
Is there such thing as a transit visa? I'll be flying out of Bangkok in May, and I'll have to do a visa run / trip to a nearby nation shortly before then. I'm debating how long I want to stay in Thailand on the second stay until my flight leaves. Is it viable to just come for a few days on a special transit stamp, or will I need to come in 30-days visa exempt again (US passport)? I want to minimize my number of 30-day entries because if I do that many times, I fear they'll stop letting me in.
(I know I could just change my flight, but I booked through one of those annoying services where you have to pay a bunch of money for them to help you at ALL, so I'd rather not do that. Lesson learned; never going to use that site again...)
