Hi. I'm currently trying to help my mother-in-law obtain a retirement visa. She doesn't want to go back to the UK as she no longer has a home there. Some people mentioned that it can be done in countries other than your home country, so we want to know if anyone has had success recently (without using an agent).

We're considering applying for a Non-O Retirement (90-day) visa in Vietnam, then applying for an extension in Thailand. But I'm not sure how we can prove that she meets the financial requirements -she has the 800k in her UK bank account, which she can access through her app. She could print out the bank statements herself, but they wouldn’t be verified by any British authority. I'm planning to contact the Thai Embassy in Vietnam soon, but I’d also like to hear about people’s actual experiences.

Hello everyone, I understood that I had to justify 500k baht for 6 months on my account. Does the document have to be in English? Does it have to be dated the day I go to the Thai embassy (in Hanoi) or a few days before and it is not a problem?

Can I apply for DTV in Vietnam while being a Pakistani resident? Or do I need to go back to Pakistan?

Thai Embassy in Myanmar takes an interview for every applicant (except those who depend on the DTV holder). Is it the same in the Thai Embassies in Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam?

My partner and I are in Vietnam and would like to apply for a 60 Tourist Thai Visa (with a plan to extend 30 days).

We have booked our flight to Chiang Mai for Dec 7 & hope to have the visa sorted asap.

Before we go to the embassy with our physical passport / ID, is there anything else we need to apply?

We’ve read that a recent 4x6 photo may be needed. Is this correct for a 60 day visa?

Any information RE the documents we require would be helpful, there’s a lot of info online and some of it is conflicting.

Previously I came from Finland and I could do it online but on the website that Thailand has in Vietnam I didn't see anywhere that I can do it online, and there are mostly news. I already bought the in and out tickets thinking is going to be easy and my departure is on the 3rd of August. My time for applying is short. I can do visa on arrival because I come from Romania
