Seeking suggestions on mobile services for Thailand where we can keep the same number but not have to pay monthly as we are in Thailand about 6 months per year.

Background; We’ve been traveling to Thailand the last 3 years on various visa types and just got a DTV in December. Yay! We had been topping up our original SIM cards so we had the same phone number all 3 years. However, TRUE/ DTAC just sent notification that this will no longer be possible due to new Thai telco regulation. What are the alternatives?

What is the best sim card/plan to get for someone planning to be in Thailand long term (5 years)? My phone doesn't support eSim

Which sim card recommended while on DTV (180 days)? At the airport its mostly tourists sim there that works for 30,60 days

I will arrive in BKK on November 22nd. Normally I buy a 30 day SIM card from AIS at the airport. This; Because I never stayed longer than 30 days in a row. I then reactivated the card when I return after a month or a few weeks in another country. This time I come with a 6 month visa. So I can (and will) stay 4 months. (interupted halfway by 5 days Kuala lumpur.

Who gives me the best advice for a SIM card with a lot of data for about 4 months or longer?

My Truemove data package needs to get renewed tomorrow and I don't have a shop anywhere near.

Is there another way to top up the money? I do not have a Thai bank card.

Hello I think I have asked this before so apologies if I have. I will be in Thailand for 180 days and trying to work out which SIM I should buy. I looked at TrueMove and AIS websites but thh I am confused. Can someone please help me?

I found a month-to-month apartment that doesn't provide internet. AIS/True only does 1 year contracts. Is there a way for me to get internet (50mbs or more) via phone hotspot (hopefully 5g) or other ways?
