I will arrive in BKK on November 22nd. Normally I buy a 30 day SIM card from AIS at the airport. This; Because I never stayed longer than 30 days in a row. I then reactivated the card when I return after a month or a few weeks in another country. This time I come with a 6 month visa. So I can (and will) stay 4 months. (interupted halfway by 5 days Kuala lumpur.
Who gives me the best advice for a SIM card with a lot of data for about 4 months or longer?
TLDR : Answer Summary
For a 4-month stay in Thailand, expats recommend various SIM card options depending on needs. While many suggest continuing with the AIS SIM you have by topping up every 30 days, others recommend purchasing an eSIM or packages from providers like DTac or TrueMove for unlimited data. Options available include prepaid SIMs that offer 50GB for 588 THB per month, unlimited data plans, and deals available via online platforms like Shopee. For the best prices, it’s generally advised to avoid airport purchases and instead buy from convenience stores like 7-Eleven or directly at provider shops within malls.
