A reminder about the upcoming holiday days for April. Immigration offices around the country will be closed on these days. Airports and land borders are not affected and will operate as normal.
Monday 8th - Substitute holiday for Chakri Day.
Friday 12th up until and including Tuesday 16th - Songkran Holidays.
Be aware that many offices will be extra busy after a holiday day and super busy after a 5 day shut down over Songkran so if you can avoid going in on those days then do so.
ALL Immigration offices country wide will be closed on
Thursday April 6th - Chakri Day
Thursday April 13th - Songkran
Friday April 14th - Songkran
Monday April 17th - Songkran (substitution day)
Land borders are NOT affected and open as usual.

As usual, IF you have a stamp that expires on a day the immigration office is closed (weekends or holidays) and you go to the office the very next day they're open you can get your extension without being charged an overstay fine, you will get a stamp in your passport that says "overstay xxx days fine waived due to closure)
TM30 counter in Chiang Mai used to be open during holidays and weekends since we are due to report within 24 hours. Is it still the case? I have family visitng on Oct. 13 and I understand that 13th and 14th are holidays.

All above dates includes immigration, land transport and other government offices are closed.
13, 28, 29 only are bank holidays. Main branches closed, satellite offices such as in malls normally open. 13, 14 - Buddhist holidays so dry days (Not about possible rain, but no sales of alcohol).
If your Admitted or permitted to stay is on one of the closed days and you can not manage to go before that day, you can go the first working day after. You may get an extra stamp with overstay but no fines due to closed for holidays.
