Edit for all the enquiring minds:

My husband receives a steady monthly income from the VA. We will have DTV visas. We homeschool our children and will be be putting them in muay thai. Thanks for all of your input and concerns for our family. P.S. we've done a lot of research but are also looking for feedback from people who are actually familiar with the areas.

Hi, we are a family of 5 looking to move to Thailand by the end of the year. I would like opinions on Hua Hin vs Chang Mai for families. TIA

Anybody know how things work with the burning season if you’re DTV in Chiang Mai?

Like that air is seriously hazardous.

Is there anyway to spend those months in a different part of Thailand or are you just doomed to lung damage?

Where are some less smoky places to stay in Thailand during the months of March and April? I will be living in Chiang Mai full time starting in February.

Don't know if it's the right place to ask but maybe some of you can help me focus my own research. Due to the massive air pollution, the ongoing farang bashing, tax and immigration complications etc. I am thinking of moving on to another SEA country. Can anybody commend a place offering something like a Non O A (retirement) long-stay visa? I am 63 and living on a pension. I'd gratefully appreciate your advice.

Thanks for admitting me to your group. I'm recently retired living in KL and with the MM2H mess currently, looking at Thailand. Chiang Mai is a possibility, and I'm visiting Hua Hin soon. Looking at options.

Lets say if your life is not too busy and bound by work in central Bangkok (which inherently has poor air quality and often traffic jams during rush hour), then which areas in Bangkok do you want to live and enjoy a comfortable environment, few people and uninterrupted views of buildings?

Hello!! My family and I are moving to Thailand. We are deciding between Koh Samui and Chiang Maing. We would probably prefer Koh Samui because of the beach, but it is more expensive and further from Laos and Cambodia, places where we would like to visit and have friends. I would like to know for a family of 3, with an 18-month-old and a big dog. What is best? Chiang Mai or Koh Samui? We want to make friends, and find like minded people!

Hi all

Nope you are enjoying your weekend

Picture the scene, you wake up minutes before sunrise, the weather report says the temperature is expected to hit very high and potentially dangerously high temperatures(this is for you people living in Thailand) and the pollution levels are high to dangerously high as well

What will your plans for the day be?

Thanks in advance
