Hi, I have received my new uk passport (simple renewal as all pages were full) and now need to transfer my stamps to the new one.

The transfer is for my current visa extension (non o marriage extension). My question is what is the embassy letter requirement is that for everyone only It says on the list for documents “letter from embassy (if needed)” so under what circumstances can one determine if you need this or not?

Thanks

Just wanna update everyone for Pathum Thani immigration. Everything went smoothly for covid visa. Need the usual stuff, and letter from embassy (idk if it's required but i gave them one, and on the last 2 covid extension that we did they returned it stating that they didn't required it, but today they didn't return it so i guess you need one). Also wasn't ask for flight tickets. You'll be waiting for 40 minutes to maybe almost 2 depending on the number of people.

Covid Extension in Chang Watthana

May I ask to clear up if I got everything correct:

- I prepared TM.30 just in case they ask for it

- 90 day report: currently it's my ~70th day.

- Chang Watthana is not asking for embassy letters, correct?

- Photo and relevant copies I do there again

What is not clear to me now:

What do I cross on the covid 19 extension form?

Or do I use "other" and write *something*?

What are the others doing who extend in Chang Watthana?

Edit: Sorry, and do I need to postpone my flight for the *maybe new* Visa time range or dont they check this?

Thank you for the help! I appreciate it a lot

My relative has been stamped Feb 1st on her last extension. Should she still do it before the 29th as suggested or she can actually go on the 1st? Also will she still be needing a embassy letter?

Thanks

At the moment, Phuket Immigration is serving number 15, the queue issued yesterday. Anyone coming today without a number has to come back Monday. They're not giving queue numbers anymore.

No embassy letter was asked.

FYI: I returned to the Tak Immigration office in Mae Sot today (Thursday, October 8th), and I received an extension of stay stamp up until November 30th without any issues.

I had gone in previously (on September 30th) with an "under consideration" stamp and I received an extension of stay until October 26th. This extension of stay was the usual 30-day extension based on an embassy letter. (I had been on amnesty previous to that, having entered Thailand as a tourist.)

However, the new policy had not come into effect yet on September 30th, and I had to return today, about a week later to get the new November 30th stamp.

I did not have to fill out any forms, provide any photocopies, sign anything, or pay any extra fees. I simply handed over my passport, and they checked my October 26th extension of stay stamp and then inserted a new stamp dated for November 30th.

The immigration clerk also told me about the possibility of applying for the new 60-day tourist visa for after November 30th. This 60-day visa, she said, would cost 1,900 baht. She initially told me that I would need to provide an embassy letter for this new 60-day visa, but then she said that if I could not provide such a letter, I simply had to fill out a form and tick the box that says I couldn't get such a letter. She gave me a copy of this form in advance.

I was a bit confused about this, but my sense was that an embassy letter would be accepted in support of this 60-day tourist visa, but it wouldn't be absolutely required. If you could not get such a letter, you could simply fill out a form stating this and sign it and that would be acceptable. (I'll try to attach a photo of this form.)

The immigration office was completely empty. I was the only person there. And the visit was fast and efficient, and the clerks were very friendly and helpful and provided me with all the information they could. A very nice experience.

FULL DETAILS:

- Canadian passport

- Tak Immigration Office (Mae Sot)

- Entered Thailand on a 30-day visa exemption at a land border crossing with Myanmar.

- Received one 30-day extension

- On amnesty since the extension expired

- Applied for the special covid-19 30-day extension with embassy letter

- Received "under consideration" stamp with instructions to return on September 30th.

- On September 30th, I got an extension of stay stamp dated for October 26th.

- On October 8th, I returned and received an updated extension of stay stamp dated for November 30th.

Hi,

I went to MTT today and got a considering stamp. They asked me to come back on 20, October but the problem is when I tried to book a queue for the appointment that day on immigration website, the system denied it because of that will be a holiday. But in calendar shows no holiday at all, neither Saturday or Sunday. So I'm confused. Can I have any advice for this problem?

Thank you so much.

P/s: I had a copy of letter from my Embassy (Vietnam) but they denied, they asked the ORIGINAL one, not the one ny Embassy sent to my mailbox and printed by myself. I don't know why but that's a must.
