Hello I have a question about the procedure in Hanoi, do I have to book an appointment online or can I upload everything directly online? If yes, what happens after you get the confirmation, can you just go to the embassy to pick up the visa or do you have to book an appointment? And the last question about payment, do you have to pay in dollars or which currency?

I am in the UK and i did my online application for a 60 day visa last Friday. As part of it i had to have a flight booked. So it's booked for next Wednesday. It is new in the uk that you have to apply online and then if they give the go ahead you can take the passport into the embassy. Does anyone know how long this first stage will take? It is only one week now till the flight and I am still waiting for the go ahead. Thanks

Update from the online booking Vientiane, Royal Thai Embassy. After two days down time we can book again. You must register with your real email and personal information. Than you get an email with the log in info. Book your date and wait till you get the confirmation. This confirmation is important as you need it at the gate of the Embassy. We just checked now and dates available for booking are. 12th, actual Embassy closed. 13th no slot, I think all real bookings. 14th no slot, but still can contact us if need slot. This morning we got 3 already. 15th, Embassy closed, but for people applied on 14th can pick up in the morning 09:00 to 12:00. 18th no slot, but still can contact us. 19th no slot. 20th no slot. 21st no slot, but still can contact us. After that date Embassy changed to real booking with email n real passport info, for 22nd still 120 slots available. 25th, no slot. 26th available 74 slots. 27th available 76 slots. 28th available 16 slots. 29th available 193 slots. April: 1st available 81 slots. 2nd available 188 slots. 3rd available 176 slots. 4th available 145 slots. 5th avaialble 200 slots. Monday 8th, the first problem as booking site show Holiday, but Embassy Caleandar show no holiday. After 8th April no schedule yet, they will open around 3-4 weeks beforehand. We will try to update daily.
